Memorial Giving Program
The Memorial Giving Program offers families a meaningful way to honour the memory of their loved ones by directing donations to Grace Hospital or Grace Hospice. Memorial gifts help support patient care, staff initiatives, programs, and equipment that enhances the quality of care at both sites.
In Memoriam Tribute
Families often include a memorial tribute in their loved one’s obituary to inform the community of their wishes. Suggested wording: “In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Grace Hospital Foundation.”
Once the tribute is set up, we support families by:
• Tracking memorial donations as they are received
• Providing the next of kin with regular updates, including a list of donors and their mailing addresses
Donations may be made online, by phone, in person, or by mail. Donation slips and postage-paid envelopes are also available for use at the funeral service.
Memorial Recognition
When the cumulative total of a tribute exceeds $2,500, we contact the next of kin to discuss recognition opportunities. Loved ones may be honoured on the Memorial Stone in the Memory Garden by Sturgeon Creek, a peaceful space for reflection and remembrance. The Memory Garden provides a lasting tribute to loved ones in perpetuity.
