Culturally Safe Space
In collaboration with WRHA Indigenous Health Services and Community Elders, Grace Hospital Foundation is building a sacred space for the practice of Indigenous medicine and ceremony at Grace Hospital. This accessible, culturally sensitive space is designed to enhance the treatment experience for Indigenous patients, and will include ventilation for smudging, accommodations for cedar baths, drumming and other varieties of traditional medicine.
Construction will begin on this $350,000 space early in the new year of 2026.
