The Memorial Giving program is for families who wish to have donations in memory of their loved ones directed to Grace Hospital.
When memorial gifts are received by the Foundation, a tribute is created for the loved ones.
Setting Up a Tribute
Generally, family members notify the community of the tribute in their loved ones obituary. The following is an example of the usual wording:
“In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions can be made to the Grace Hospital Foundation.”
Once this has been done we set up the tribute. As memorial donations come in from family and friends, we regularly send the next of kin the names and addresses of those who have made contributions as well as the ongoing tribute total.
When the cumulative total of the tribute is close to $1,000 we will contact the next of kin to talk about recognition opportunities.
The Grace Hospital Foundation has a permanent Donor Wall where we have the opportunity to recognize the memory of loved ones.
Loved ones can also be recognized on the Memorial Stone in the Grace Hospice Memory Garden. The Garden is a place of tranquil reflection for residents of Grace Hospice and their families as well as a place to memorialize loved ones in perpetuity.
Please contact our Donor Relations Officer at 204-837-0375 if you have any questions or would like to request donation materials for the funeral.
